Household Cleaning Products From Everyday Items

Everyone wants their house to look neat and clean. Many cleaning agents and accessories are available in the market; problem is that some people might find them expensive. So here is the good news: We have made a list of 7 common items that can be used as household cleaning products. So read on if you want your home to sparkle without spending a lot of money.


1) Hair Dryer

Annoyed by those water rings or mug stains on your wooden furniture? If you were thinking that your precious piece of furniture is ruined for life, think again. Use a hair dryer set on medium and hold it a few inches away from the stain while buffing it using a cloth. The stain should come off in around 15 minutes.


2) Vegetable Oil

Sticky oily dust on your kitchen cabinets and shelves giving you nightmares? You will be amazed to know that you can clean that dust with a little vegetable oil. Just grab a piece of cloth, dab some vegetable oil onto it and clean the oily surface.

Ammonia is a very good cleaning agent that makes cleaning greasy ovens or stove grates a breeze. A word of caution. Ammonia is highly toxic and should be kept out of the reach of children.


3) Pillow cover

Summers are starting soon and it’s time you cleaned that insanely huge amount of dust that has settled on your fans. Now this is not an easy job. If you try to use a cloth, the dust will just end up spreading all over the room further compounding your miseries. Try sliding an old pillowcase over the blades and clean it, this way all the dust will remained inside the case.


5) Ketchup

Cleaning Brass items is a difficult task. Getting that perfect shine takes a lot of efforts. What if I told you that you can get that perfect shine using ketchup? Just put a little bit on a piece of cloth and clean the brass surface with it. Wipe the surface clean with a damp microfiber and watch it shine bright.


6) Car wax

After removing dirt from wooden or metallic surfaces, put a layer of car wax on it. This will make it shine like you have never seen it shine before and will also prevent dust from easily settling on it.


7) Miscellaneous Scents

Once the cleaning is done won’t it be nice to make your home smell sweet? Add a little amount of rosemary, lemon or vanilla extract and basil leaves to boiling water to create your own home made room freshener.
